About me
Seth Woodman is the Cybersecurity Program Director and Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI), where he leads curriculum development, program expansion, and applied learning initiatives across traditional and competency-based modalities. His work focuses on building workforce-aligned cybersecurity education through hands-on lab environments, interdisciplinary collaboration, and industry partnerships, including initiatives connected to cyber range development and community upskilling. In addition to his academic leadership, Seth’s research centers on post-quantum cryptography, with particular emphasis on entropy behavior, virtualization environments, and the performance characteristics of quantum-resistant algorithms. He is actively engaged in advancing cybersecurity education, applied research, and institutional partnerships that strengthen both student outcomes and regional cyber workforce development.
