Sandellyo A. Kauba is an Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity at Wake Technical Community College, where he specializes in Security Administration and the intersection of IoT and transportation security. As a key leader for the NSF-funded Sentinel program, Sandellyo champions an immersive workforce model that integrates technical instruction with industry-aligned mentoring and experiential learning.
With professional certifications including CompTIA and CWNP, his expertise covers cryptography, advanced networking, and the security of in-car communication systems. Sandellyo is deeply involved in the professional community as a member of the Carolina Cyber Network, NCLGISA, NC TECH, and NC-PaCE at the state level. His work focuses on bridging the cybersecurity talent gap through innovative, non-credit pathways that prepare students for high-demand roles in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain sectors. Based in the Research Triangle, Sandellyo remains at the forefront of regional cybersecurity education and workforce development.
