Randolph Barr is a seasoned cybersecurity executive and trusted advisor with over 25 years of experience securing organizations across technology, life sciences, SaaS, and enterprise software. His career spans the full arc of the industry from building foundational security programs at early-stage startups to scaling global security operations at publicly traded companies.
Randolph's journey began at Cisco-WebEx, where he spent eight years leading security for a major diversified business unit, establishing the discipline and operational rigor that would define his career. He went on to serve as CISO across a diverse portfolio of high-growth companies including Zoom Video Communications, where he helped scale the security organization from 14 to over 200 employees during one of the most consequential periods in the company's history; InterVenn Biosciences, where he led a 100-person cross-functional organization spanning IT, security, and engineering; and BioRender, where he built the company's inaugural security operations program from scratch.
Throughout his career, Randolph has served as a strategic advisor to CEOs, boards, and executive teams across industries guiding organizations through compliance frameworks, AI governance, M&A security due diligence, and cyber resilience strategy. He brings a particularly differentiated perspective on AI risk, having completed UC Berkeley's Executive Education Program in AI Strategy and Applications and serving as a founding member of the AI & Data Security Collective.
