About me
Professor Mike Qaissaunee is Chair of the Engineering and Technology Department and Director of the Cyber Center at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, New Jersey. He has led multiple National Science Foundation grants advancing interactive teaching, technician education, and cybersecurity pathways for community college students. The National Security Agency has supported his GenCyber cybersecurity camps for high school students and other initiatives that expand hands-on cyber learning.
Mike has co-authored a 10th-grade Engineering and Technology textbook and delivered more than 60 workshops and keynotes nationwide on cybersecurity, wireless technologies, gamification, and interactive digital content. He is increasingly focused on AI in higher education, including faculty development and institutional AI readiness. His recognition includes SANS’ People Who Made a Difference in Security award, multiple Educator of the Year honors, and Brookdale’s Barringer award for career contributions. Mike holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
