Dr. Pamela J. Haney became the sixth president of Moraine Valley Community College on July 1, 2023. Committed to advancing student success, expanding access to education, and strengthening community partnerships, she has led significant institutional growth.
Under her leadership, Moraine Valley secured $1.5 million to renovate the Southwest Education Center in Tinley Park, reached a five-year high in enrollment, and secured more than $10 million in competitive grant funding, including National Science Foundation awards supporting cybersecurity education. Prior to her presidency, Dr. Haney served as vice president for Academic Affairs beginning in 2012 and held several dean roles at Moraine Valley. Earlier, she held positions at Defiance College, Norfolk State University, and the University of Nevada–Reno. She holds a Ph.D. in Interpersonal Communication from Bowling Green State University and has received national recognition for community college leadership.
