About me
Eric Renegar is a professor of Information Technology and Cybersecurity with extensive experience in networking, cybersecurity education, and hands-on technical training. He teaches at the community college level, where his work focuses on building practical, skills-based learning experiences that prepare students for real-world IT and cybersecurity roles. Eric regularly designs and delivers labs, simulations, and Capture the Flag–style activities that emphasize troubleshooting, analysis, and applied problem solving.
In addition to teaching, Eric is actively involved in curriculum development, faculty professional development, and cybersecurity outreach initiatives. He has experience supporting workforce training, K–12 engagement, and educator-focused technical sessions. His professional interests include networking, firewall technologies, Linux systems, Docker-based environments, and instructional uses of cybersecurity competitions. Eric is passionate about helping educators and trainers create accessible, repeatable, and secure learning environments that mirror the challenges students will encounter in industry.
