About me
Carey Garback is a Learning & Development leader with over 20 years of experience directing and designing training programs for Fortune 500 organizations, including American Express, JP Morgan Chase, Citibank, Microsoft, Home Depot, Kaiser Permanente, and CVS Health. She has worked across a wide range of industries, including automotive, technology, insurance, finance, and real estate.Originally starting her career in broadcast journalism, Carey discovered that her true passion was learning something new and helping others understand it. That path led her from journalism and corporate video production into education, where she worked as a high school teacher and adjunct instructor, before returning to the corporate learning space. She holds a BA in Telecommunications from Michigan State University, an MA in Secondary English Education from Wayne State University, and a Blended Learning Certification from the Association for Talent Development.Now as Education and Awareness Leader, Carey is in the midst of re-imagining Auto-ISAC’s Automotive Cybersecurity Training, or ACT Program.Carey brings a rare blend of strategy, roadmap development, course design & delivery, and training program management, and is excited to be working with the Auto-ISAC community.
