Dr. Andrew Rettig
Faculty Leader | Internet of Things Educator | AI & Open-Source
Andrew Rettig is a faculty member in the Information Technology department at Sinclair College, where he is leading the design and launch of an Internet of Things Bachelor’s degree. The program emphasizes hands-on, personalized learning guided by IoT visionaries.
He has taught IoT since 2015, demos nearly everything using open-source software and hardware. He focuses on helping students build confidence through real-world creation. In Fall 2026, his students will experience Sinclair’s first AI-mentored classes.
Andrew is the founder of Lil Data Monster, an IoT systems integration and machine learning company, and the author of Introduction to IoT, a video-based textbook published in 2024.
