About me
April H. Best is an educator, mentor, and leader with over a decade of experience in higher education. She serves as the Information Technology Program Chair and Instructor at Lenoir Community College, where she is committed to preparing students with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in an evolving digital landscape.Her work extends beyond the classroom through IT Looks Like Me, an initiative designed to introduce middle school students to opportunities in technology and broaden participation in the field. She holds multiple industry certifications, including Microsoft Office, IC3 Digital Literacy, AWS Academy, and CCNA.In recognition of her impact, she was honored with the 2025 Teaching Excellence Award at Lenoir Community College. Through her leadership and dedication, she continues to inspire students to push beyond where they are and pursue what is possible.
